The Beatitudes Reworded

verse 3: People who realise they need God will find Him

verse 5: the earth belongs to people who realise that it is God's not theirs in the first place

verse 7:

  • God is with those who show mercy
  • people who sow mercy reap it wherever they go

The Beatitudes Inversed

Verse 3

  • you will miss out big time If you spend all your life on chasing money because you will totally miss God
  • People who are greedy and think they don't need God will miss out on the greatest rewards

Verse 4: Those who will not let themselves  mourn will never truly feel the comfort of God

Verse 6:Self satisfied people who fulfill their own needs at the cost of others will end up empty, inside and out

Verse 8:

  • Corrupted fragmented hearts scattered are scattered for God will be obscured in their view, they will be too blind and deluded to see Him
  • God doesn't bless those with impure hearts for they are blind to Him - all too often we pray for direction , then go out of our way to follow our own path ,even if we get an answer from God. Doing what's easier keeps us from seeing the fullness of our lives that God has planned

Verse 9

  • those who overwork and have no peace in their lives have no time for God
  • there is no place in the family of God for those who are hell bent on causing dissension
