be teachable- be ok with hearing some criticism or things you don't like hearing - how else will you grow into anything else than you already are?
be open to change - be ready to hear points of view that you doon't necessary agree with -
be a goal setter - without vision people perish... goals remind us of the reason for our labours
be an evaluator - any relationship needs to be worked at, so spend time figuring out how to get the maximum from your mentoring
